I have documented 76 Iowa residents who left our state and served the Confederacy.  I will tell two stories from Iowa Confederates in the Civil War, shedding light on the most common motive for Iowans to serve the C.S.A. — and on the emotional and political pressures in wartime Iowa.

Afterwards, I will be available to sign books.

There will be numerous presentations by other people.  This event requires an admission fee.  Tickets range from $10 (for students) to $30.
